Players Wanted! Limited Number of Positions Available

The Long Island Greyhounds are looking for dedicated athletes to join their 10u and 12u girls’ fastpitch
organization. We have established a great core of athlete/players and are now looking for additions to this
winning organization. Our mission is to create college showcase teams as the girls develop and move up in their
age bracket. The goal is to keep the teams together as they transfer into each age group. This is not an
organization that is interested in splitting teams apart. We want to train, grow and develop our players for the
future.

If you are interested in playing for the Greyhounds, be the first to schedule a try out
.

1. You must call 516.647.1482 to pre-qualify and confirm that your player is listed on the try out roster.

2. All forms
(try out and registration) must be completed and handed in at your try out.

3. Try outs will take place at
171 Milbar Blvd, Farmingdale   Email ligreyhounds@optonline.net

guardian
A $10 try out fee is required. You may pay by cash or check made payable to Long Island Greyhound Softball, Inc.

partial deposit/payment for the 2009-10 Travel Softball Season. Payment plan available.

Games and Practices: All players are expected to attend all team practices and scheduled games. We started playing in
September through Veteran's Day 2009.
We immediately went indoors to practice in November. We begin playing based
on each coaches discretion through August 2010. We have a light game schedule during the school year and during
holidays. Refer to our past schedule as an example. Please do not consider joining any team if you are
not serious about
playing softball.
It is not fair to the other players. If you plan on playing Little League you will not be considered for a team.
100% focus should be on your travel team commitment. We will attempt to schedule games around school ball for those
players who are eligible in their school district.

Please contact your coaches in advance if you are unable to attend any practice or game. Practices will be a combination
of indoor and outdoor depending on the weather.

Insurance
All players will be issued an insurance card valid for the calendar year.

Fundraising
All teams/players/team members will be responsible for participating in team related fundraising events. These efforts
are a direct effort to differ player expenses. Fundraising will supplement additional tournaments and associated costs
outside of the scope of the team budgeted assumptions.

Uniforms
Registration includes a complete uniform (does not include cleats), bat bag, helmet, sliders, sweatshirt and practice
shirt. Returning players need not purchase a new uniform unless you choose to by visiting the
uniform page and
completing a form..

* Once your child is confirmed on the team and their uniform is ordered, refunds will not be given to any player who no longer wishes to participate.
